CRITICISM AND SUCCESS

It's good to have you back! Today's topic talks about criticism and success. Criticism is inevitable in a world filled with imperfect people who like to express their opinions. You cannot predict with precision how, when and from where criticism will come, but you can determine how it meets you as well as your response . The fear of criticism can hinder progress and limit success, but it cannot prevent criticism. Think about that! I will rather be criticized for being true to myself, my calling and my purpose than be criticized while trying to fake something, while trying to impress whoever, while living to win other people's approval. Why Do We Fear or Dislike Criticism? It makes us feel rejected or unapproved, hurt or disrespected It tells us we don't know it all It can destroy hard-earned reputation It can cause distraction especially to followers and so on None of these reasons are strong enough to keep us in our yesterday and rob us of a glorious, jo...

Becoming A Finisher

Welcome back! How has been the day? Like it was mentioned last Tuesday, we will discuss how to BE a finisher today.  VALUE CHANGE The first thing to acquire is a new set of values. Your values are what matters to you; it determines how you respond to situation. The most important and the foundation of all good values is LOVE. It is the CHOICE to be benevolent and kind. It is the choice to be good to people not minding who they are, where they are from or what they have done (or not done). Everybody NEEDS to be loved. Any value not rooted in love is abnormal even if it is the order of the day. Love thinks the best of others and does no harm to a neighbor. Love will not harden its heart, it cares about the suffering of others. Love is considerate and seeks to owe no one anything but its continuous expression. When love and faith work together, we will not fear being taken advantage of. VISION I have realized that when you don't keep your vision alive, you will start beli...

BE A FINISHER II: Obstacles and Helpful Perspectives

WELCOME BACK! Glad to have you here again. Hope the day has been fine? Today, we will continue our discuss on "Be A Finisher" as we talk about Obstacles and Helpful Perspectives. The way we see life is not always the way life is, especially when we are down, discouraged, in pain, afraid and so on. Negative emotions color our perspectives; that is why I don't advise anyone to make major decisions when in a bad emotional state. If one does, most likely, one will regret such decisions-- that is, if one survives it. I was in a meeting two days ago and someone there made a statement that I have always believed. She said there was a time when she just wanted to die but looking back now, she feels like the idea is foolish. If she had committed suicide and people hear her reason (like we hear that of some today), those of us alive are the ones who will see the foolishness of such decisions. Thank God she didn't go that far. OBSTACLES: What Stops People from Moving On? ...

BE A FINISHER

Welcome! We are starting a discuss: "Be A Finisher." And today we will take the introduction to and overview of the topic. Remember, it will be every Tuesday now except a notice to a change comes. WHAT DOES IT MEAN? When a man walks away from his wife and children, when a business closes down, when a politician cannot get himself to leave office when his/her term is due, when an individual just want it all to end- when someone plans a suicide, when a man or woman cannot get himself or herself to stop having sex with every Dick and Harry (pardon me if either is your name!), when a student who really wants to learn in school wants to quit school and so so on, it can only be that there is SOMEONE missing- a finisher . This topic does not mean "Don't Start What You Can't Complete." If your goal is good and great enough, you can't complete it, at least not alone. You will always need other people's direct or indirect contribution to fulfil a worth...
