BE A FINISHER
Welcome!
We are starting a discuss: "Be A Finisher." And today we will take the introduction to and overview of the topic. Remember, it will be every Tuesday now except a notice to a change comes.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
When a man walks away from his wife and children, when a business closes down, when a politician cannot get himself to leave office when his/her term is due, when an individual just want it all to end- when someone plans a suicide, when a man or woman cannot get himself or herself to stop having sex with every Dick and Harry (pardon me if either is your name!), when a student who really wants to learn in school wants to quit school and so so on, it can only be that there is SOMEONE missing- a finisher.
This topic does not mean "Don't Start What You Can't Complete." If your goal is good and great enough, you can't complete it, at least not alone. You will always need other people's direct or indirect contribution to fulfil a worthy dream. Never the less, I will say "Start what you can't complete but don't start what you won't complete."
Again, the topic does not mean "Finish Whatever You Start." That is, we are not in particular talking about not starting what you won't complete, either. Although this is important and we will still mention it, it is good to clarify that this is not the goal for our discuss. Please pay attention to the difference here. Finishing what you start is about what you do but our goal is not that; our goal here is what you are or what you become.
Example, let's say there is a successful business man who has a passion to teach others become that too. Unless he becomes a teacher inside, his success and passion will not help fulfil his dream. That differentiates what he does well (business) from what he needs to become to fulfil his dream and satisfy his passion.
Now, imagine when the successful business man starts out to pursue his new passion and could not just seem to breakthrough. Imagine his reputation being at stake that he is not actually a success after all. Imagine one thing leads to the other and he had to leave the dream alone to face his business. He met obstacles that stopped him. Obstacles are not there to stop us; they are there to separate people with genuine vision and who are serious about seeing it come to pass from those who just have wishes. But obstacles have stopped many. They have reasons why they can't go on.
Why Should You Become A Finisher?

Why Should You Become A Finisher?
- Only finishers are winners;
- Only finishers succeed;
- Only finishers are happy with what they've become;
- Only finishers have good stories to tell;
- Only finishers command attention;
- Only finishers turn a source of pain and sorrow to inspirations and joy;
- Only finishers finish strong;
- Only finishers deserve to rest;
- Only finishers deserve the title;
- Only finishers are not wasters.
- (You may add other reasons!)
Next time we will discuss Obstacles and Helpful Perspectives. Watch out!
Your contributions are welcome too. And if you know someone you care about, please invite such to join us on this blog.
See you coming Tuesday, God willing.
Till then, bye bye.
