Vision-Template for Family Success



Good day.
I am very happy to welcome you to this blog today.

As mentioned in the last post, we will try to provide a template for the vision one can have for his family.
If one truly believes that all things are possible, then I believe the family is one good place to put that faith to work! Below are few suggestions that can help provide a template for a healthy vision for family success.

Socially Healthy
Ø  It is a conflict and quarrel-free home
Ø  The couple and other members of the family understand each other and relate one to another with understanding
Ø  No perceived or obvious need to keep secrets or pretend
Ø  There is mutual respect
Ø  There is mutual acceptance
Ø  There is mutual support and motivation
Ø  Members are their own best friends, especially the couple
Ø  They are good examples and good neighbours to neighbours and others

Spiritually Healthy
Ø  The husband is the leader the wife submits to
Ø  The wife is the helper her husband cares for
Ø  God’s word, the Bible, is final authority on all subjects and issues. All members recognize that.
Ø  The family prays sincere, faith-filled prayers together, including prayer of thanksgiving
Ø  Members-- individually and collectively -- study God’s word daily
Ø  The children rightly believes in and follows their parents example (not just their instructions)

Psychologically Healthy
Ø  No one is afraid of another member of the family
Ø  There is mutual trust for fidelity
Ø  There is love, joy and peace at home
Ø  Everyone is excited about returning home when away
Ø  Members long to be with one another when apart
Ø  No member holds grudge or is bitter against another nor does any nurse an intention of hurting another, now or in the future.
Ø  Sexual intercourse is seen as an expression of love between the couple and not just a duty

Physically Healthy
Ø  All members feel well in their bodies
Ø  All members are sickness/disease free
Ø  All members enjoy the function of their bodies

Financially Healthy
Ø  Husband provides for the family and the wife is his helper
Ø  Family budget can be run absolutely on internally generated income (not on wages or debt [credit card inclusive])
Ø  Members are kind, lend freely, share what they have with those in need and give to both the community and those who request
Using this as a template, you can cast VISION for your own family and work towards it, doing what you can.
