SUCCESS AT HOME
The home is the place where your true values and worth are revealed. Welcome to Life and Success Management as we begin a series on Success At Home.
What you are known for outside your home is important but not as much as what you are inside your home because that is where you are revealed to you and everyone.
Success at any level is principle-based. So if you succeed in one area of your life, it means you can succeed in other areas if you are willing to apply success principles in those areas too. The challenge for many is that they have vision for success in isolated areas of their lives and so they just keep succeeding in those areas while other areas suffer. It is important to know that you can have all round success: in relationship with God, your family, career, nation building etc.Thus, today, I challenge you to have a vision for success at the home front. Why do people believe they can achieve whatever they want to and yet they are failing at home and still don't apply that faith there? Doesn't that suggest that they don't think the home is important? If that is not the case, then their scope of "success" is too narrow.
I am aware and do understand how tough being responsible for or accountable to someone else can be but their has never been any significant, lasting achievement without sacrifice. I know you may be tired of hearing that word and wonder, "Not again!" Sacrifice is not losing something precious to you and period. No. (Please study previous posts on this blog). Sacrifice is investing. Nothing laid down with the right attitude of love is lost from your life. It's like planting a precious seed and reaping its harvest in more beneficial ways.
We need to first make up our minds that we must succeed at home; that success outside the home is fake or incomplete without success at home. It is after that that the rest of this series will be beneficial.
